The Roar is the newspaper for Lanphier High School in Springfield, IL. The Lanphier Roar has been able to remain in print for the students of LHS since the 1930s, providing a vital and too-often ignored voice. Composed currently of juniors, seniors, and one sophomore, the paper is open freely to those throughout the student body who seek to have their voice be heard.
The Roar is manned currently by our Editor In Chief Cierra Atkins (11), and three dedicated writers Rachel McGlothlin (12), Mercedes Bryant (12), and Ruby Koehler (10).
